New Microsoft Teams Rooms licensing requirements for Surface Hub

A Teams Rooms Pro license is all that's needed for a Surface Hub device account. In fact, after September 30th, 2023 user (E3/E5) licenses can no longer be used for Teams sign-in on Teams Rooms Devices. 

 

After assigning a Teams Rooms Pro license confirm you can sign into teams.microsoft.com with the account. If you are still unable to add it to the Surface Hub, check the Azure sign-in logs to confirm MFA isn't enabled and see if sign-in is being blocked by an incompatible Conditional Access policy.
