Make Task View (Win+Tab) appear instantly
I’ve set max performance except that i reenabled cleartype Are there any registry hacks that can speedup task view? There is still a delay before it comes up unlike alt+tab which is fast enough to usually come up before i let go of the tab key (In essence, I can push the tab key down, let go of the tab key, it pops up, then task view comes up. That’s too long! Imagine if text took that long to type)Where to download Windows 11 23H2 ISO for making an offline installer
My laptop's CPU is too old to run Windows 11 as it does not support SSE4.2. So Windows 11 23H2 should be a better choice. The problem is that the ISO I downloaded from Microsoft product page is Windows 11 24H2 v64. Does anyone know a safe place to download Windows 11 23H2 ISO in order to make an offline installer for my unsupported laptop?
Among Us Always Imposter - Windows 11 Family Safety Question
Hi everyone, I'm a parent hoping to get some advice from the community regarding Windows 11's Family Safety features. My son has been playing a lot of a game called Among Us on his new Windows 11 laptop. Recently, I discovered he installed a modification for the game. He calls it the "Among Us always imposter" mod, which apparently lets him be the imposter in every round. My main concern is not about him cheating in a game, but about the safety of the files he's downloading. It wasn't from the Microsoft Store, and I'm worried about malware. I'm trying to use the built-in Windows 11 Family Safety tools to manage and block this kind of software, but I'm not technical enough to know what I'm dealing with. He told me this is the website where he got the files from. catastrophic-error-0x8000ffff I just downloaded PC manager (Why is this not standard???) and it tells me that sys. files alone are 19.4Gb App Data is also huge. After poking about it seems like there's a lot of old system files dating back to my previous computer's time. And all this after struggling for literal years with storage on my 110Gb SSD and spending the past week trying to clear enough space to run the update. Option B, if a clean install doesn't fix the size is to also wipe everything and just install windows on D:Can I still upgrade to windows 11 for free from Windows 10?
Our company has 3 Tiny PC PCs (Lenovo M93P Desktop Computer) with Windows 10 Pro and they are all running great. The problem is that Microsoft has decided to discontinue the support of Windows 10 and no security update after Oct 2025. This could be a big threat to computer security. We tried to upgrade to Windows 11 but the installation wizard shows our PCs are not eligible to run Windows 11 as there are a few system requirements are missing. Is there any workaround to upgrade to Windows 11 for free from Windows 10? We don't want to invest more money in buying Windows 11 compatible machines as they are expensive. As reference, here is the computer specs (Lenovo ThinkCentre): Processor: Intel i5-4570 3.2GHz (4 Cores) RAM: 8 GB SSD: 240 GB Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600 Display: 21.5"FHD(1920x1080)
Stop code problem
Hi, I'm facing a persistent issue with my Windows 11 system that is part of a dual boot setup with Ubuntu after I updated the windows OS two days back.After the windows update I lost the GRUB file and so I can't boot into ubuntu. Recently, my Windows started showing the error: "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We'll restart for you." This happens even after I did a complete reset of Windows (keeping my files).
Windows Language Issue DISPLAY VS LOCALE/REGION
I'm just pasting here what I exposed as possibly part of the problem on another post of mine. What was once a simple nuisance, now seems to have larger consequences. I have my OS in EN (full language pack) while my locale/region is PT. This results is very "funny" situations, where PART of my OS features and apps will be in English, while others (ALSO from OS) will be in Portuguese. Example in screenshots. This has never been an issue in previous Windows versions and has happened on each installation of this version (Win11). Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2 Installed on 18/05/2025 OS build 26100.4652 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.128.0 From the System this is the info I have for OS. How can my OS actually follow and SHOW in the language I set it to (ENGLISH) while still respecting I am localised in PT? this is also tangent: games on XBOX app now have a annoying method of forcing me to have games in PT-BR which is completely insulting, especially because it removes the choice. YES, there are work-arounds (the most effective deleing language folders from game files), but still. absolutely trash and doing no one any favours. I am not Brazilian, I do not want my content in PT-BR unless I choose to.Computers fully locks randomly with GPU fan spike to 100%
So, this has restarted happening. I can be full on gaming (at the best possible setting which are usually high), streaming my gameplay, listening to music and chatting OR i am idle checking my phone with the computer on. From out of the blue, Graphic's card fan shoot to 100% and monitors go dark accusing loss of signal (all the while sound still coming through if sound was playing, even controller stuck in rumbling if it was rumbling at the time it happens). My computer completely locks up and forces me to hard shutdown. I have a fresh install of Windows (I did that when my computer had this behaviour so many times in a row that lead to a boot fail with corrupted windows files), I've changed graphic's card (and the previous one went to a PC with same version of Win11 and this did not happen - that leads me to believe graphic's card/drivers are not at fault entirely), this behaviour has happened with several versions of graphic's drivers. It's totally random on frequency and event. I always get "671 was unexpected at this time.", that when I use your friendly tool copilot I get the issue of Windows not being able to read itself. everytime i try to run "log.cmd" on gpuview i get "671 was unexpected at this time." Oof, that’s a frustrating one. 😣 The "671 was unexpected at this time" error from log.cmd in GPUView usually points to a batch script parsing issue, often caused by regional settings or unexpected characters in system output. 🧩 What’s Going Wrong? The log.cmd script tries to parse your system’s memory info using systeminfo, then extracts the value using findstr and for /f. If your system is set to a non-English locale, the script may fail to find the expected string "Total Physical Memory"—and when it tries to process the result, it hits a syntax error like "671 was unexpected at this time".
