Updates to community platform

There were no release notes/updates posts for 6+ months. Performance of this site is just getting worse. I wonder if there is anyone still working on this. It is a lottery whether this site will load or error our on you with Internal Server error. Even when it loads it takes 15 seconds or so sitting on blank page before it even starts to load (both desktop and mobile). But not always. It is like your first connection after a while goes through some process and then it is a bit snappier. Quality of life changes would also be nice like adding back comment content to email notifications. Because site notifications are bad, often reset and show everything as new. Also, clicking on notification should take you to comment, not to top of the article and having you to scroll all the way down (such a pain on mobile).

Interesting that link in email notification leads to comment, but when you press on web notification, it leads to the article itself, not to the comment that notification is about.

Yeah, I see the system just ate my comment. "This comment will be published as soon as it is approved" So it appears after posting it, then disappears until approved. And how am I supposed to edit it meanwhile? I have been wondering the same about my posts. But unlike a comment, I can navigated back to a post so I can edit it, because it has its own URL. But none of these unapproved posts or comments are listed on my profile! So I can't keep tabs on them, unless I leave them open in a browser tab, or go back to them (in case of posts) using browser history. This is retarded by design. It also signals to me "guilty until proven innocent" and I don't want to stick around in a "space" like that. See you out there, on the free, open and decentralised web!

Oh, maybe they have approval system for fresh accounts, which is reasonable.

So I noticed, and reported. I spent less than a day here and I regret signing up. It was honestly hopeful that it would work better than Microsoft's many previous attempts to create a sort of forum or "community" platform. It looked like a fresh take on what used to be MSDN forums, more geared toward IT people, unlike the Answers site (which they are now terminating by the way). I see you have been on this site for a long time. Can I ask you, do all the posts and comments need to be manually approved before they appear on the site? Like this comment for example. I just posted another comment, on another post, in this "Tech Community Discussion" space, and it appeared under the post. But now, five minutes later, it's gone. I'm not retyping that! But I don't think the comment was lost. Because my post count went up to 7 on my profile. So it probably needs to be approved. I think it's like that. It appears, then they withdraw it for approval, and if they do, then it will reappear. I'm not sticking around to find out. How do you even contact a moderator around here? All Microsoft employees are probably on vacation anyway.

I've never had my comment removed to my knowledge and i don't think there is an approval process as i often see spam comments. I don't think it was ever on a level of MSDN forums. I am only reading blogs for news. Haven't participated in other discussions (other than here about community) in years. Mainly because it is so awfully slow. I don't have time for this :) I don't know if you can contact a moderator. Other than posting in this space, but it seems abandoned for some time.
