Hard drive D gone

Without me having done anything special, my D drive has disappeared!
When I restart my PC, I no longer have any icons on the desktop and I have the message "D:\Desktop Moved from C to D is not available. If the location is on this PC, make sure the device or ballast is connected.... If the location is not found, it means that it may have been changed or deleted."
The disk no longer appears in "Disk Management".
Can you please guide me to help me?
Thank you in advance for your help by return

  • Hi - kindly try this.

     Device Manager

Press Windows + X → select Device Manager.

Expand Disk Drives. Is the missing drive listed?

If yes but with a yellow warning: Right-click → Uninstall → Restart PC.

    About the Desktop Error

Windows thinks your Desktop folder is on the missing D: drive:

Once D: is restored, files should come back.

    If not, you can:

    Create a new folder C:\Users\<YourName>\Desktop

Go to C:\Users\<YourName>, right-click Desktop → Properties → Location tab
