Copilot Unable to identify Cell Color
Hi, I’ve encountered a problem with Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel. Previously, Copilot was able to identify the color of specific cells in my workbook. For example, it successfully provided the color of cell G32 in a past file. However, today, when I asked Copilot to check the color of cell in my current file, it failed and claimed that it cannot identify any color formatting. This inconsistency is frustrating, and I’d like to understand why Copilot worked before but now cannot perform the same task. Has anyone else faced this issue? Is this a bug or a change in functionality? I’d appreciate any insights or solutions.
Unable to use copilot during ongoing teams call (that is being recorded)
Hello, During the ongoing teams calls ( being recorded) copilot is giving error, and not able to respond. Below is a screenshot. CoPilot in Word says it can't rewrite documents
I created a 400 word document and invoked CoPilot from the toolbar. I tried a variety of requests, ending up with simply "rewrite", which came directly from the Microsoft document https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/transform-your-content-with-copilot-in-word-923d9763-f896-4da7-8a3f-5b12c3bfc475. CoPilot responded with "I'm sorry, but as an AI language model, I do not have the ability to edit or rewrite documents. You can use the tools available in Word to improve the document. For example, you can use the spelling and grammar checker, the find and replace tool, and the formatting tools to improve the appearance and readability of the document. You can also consider reorganizing the content, adding headings and subheadings, and using bullet points or numbered lists to make the document more reader-friendly." I'm a bit confused. CoPilot doesn't have the ability to edit or rewrite documents?
Copilot Notebooks chat and file creation
I recently have access to the Notebooks in Copilot after the recent update, including chat search!, when using chat within a created notebook, has anyone else seen an issue with Copilot making the document actually available for download? I've tried different ways and only get it telling me the file is ready to download in this location: "sandbox:/mnt/data/[filename is listed here]". My first thought was maybe it wa just putting this newly generated file into the References within the Notebook...but it was not. If I get out of the chat in a Notebook and just start a new web or work chat and ask for the same file to be created, it works as usual with a link to download.
Copilot account banned without explanation – no response to appeals
Hello, My Copilot account was banned around March 2025, without any warning or explanation. I have submitted multiple appeals via the official https://copilot.microsoft.com site, but have not received any confirmation or reply. I also contacted Microsoft Support several times via live chat, but was repeatedly redirected to unrelated channels like the Privacy Portal and Community Forums. Eventually, a supervisor informed me that only the Online Safety Team can handle Copilot bans. I was advised to send a follow-up email to their support address, referencing my case numbers. Despite doing so and being a paying subscriber who relies on Copilot for professional work, I have received no clear response or resolution. If anyone has dealt with a similar situation or knows how to get through to the proper team, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!Painful behavior of "slash" ("/") in chat prompts
I know about the /commands (/reset, /help, ...) in Copilot powered applications where hitting "/" triggers auto-completion suggestions. Here we are talking about Copilot chat (Teams or Web app for instance) Each time you hit the "/" key, it pops up a menu inviting you to upload files, preventing you from going on typing until you hit the <esc> key. That's too disruptive. That would be ok if the upload menu what acting like a suggestion -- You may select with arrow keys if you wish, or just go on typing if you just need a "/" in your prompts. Please consider disabling this "feature" or I at least enhancing it so the upload menu is not modal and gets dismissed when you go on typing. Prompt Plugin is not working in teams
HI everyone, I am working on Prompt plugin to extend Copilot for M365 in teams. My requirement is that copilot will answer the question regarding dataverse tables in teams. Hello, does anyone know when Microsoft plans to make it possible to use Copilot in Excel formulas, e.g. with the GPTforExcel tool? =copilot(summarize; A1) Would it be obvious to use it in-house? Or does anyone have a good walkaround e.g. with PowerPlatforms? Or do you have other solutions? Thank you
How to help to validate MISRA compliance of the source code written by Developers with copilot?
Hi all, I want copilot to assist me, to validate MISRA compliance of the source code written by Developers. While Copilot is able to identify few MISRA violation but not all. This is even true when feed the rules through separate file. Do you have any ideas how to set this up with copilot? Thanks in advanceCopilot Retrieval of Emails
Has anyone tried to retrieve a list of emails over a one-year span based on a particular subject? I was asked to prepare a timeline for a contract. I asked Copilot to locate and list the emails in an excel spreadsheet with columns for date, from, to, subject, one line summary and name of attachments if any. Copilot acknowledged there were 525 emails and populated a "sample" of 5. when I asked for a complete dataset of all 525 emails Copilot only came back with another 5-10 listings. I tried asking in multiple different ways and that's all I would get - and they were sometimes the same emails, sometimes different. Is there any expectation that Copilot should be able to handle the complete task?
Copilot for Work - Search in OneNote
If I use Copilot for Work at ask something it would be nice if it would use the informations in OneNote to find the right answer. As far as I know Copilot do not look in my OneNote Notebooks when I ask something. (Just if I directly use Copilot in OneNote, but not when I use Copilot for Work via Browser or M365 App or Teams)Copilot on Word App on iPad - how to turn off?
I’ve managed to turn the wretched thing off on Word on my desktop and laptop after updating to latest versions and the “disable co-pilot “ checkbox finally appearing in settings. but how on earth do I turn it off on my iPad as it doesn’t have a whole load of settings for the app? Hello, I had few questions about Copilot Studio Tenant License and also its Copilot Studio User License, and any insights or confirmations would be great. We are trying to Question 1. I read on the documentation that Copliot Studio User License needs to be assigned to users to allow them to create Agents (after purchasing Copliot Studio Tenant License). Is this "User License" free to assign to users and is there a limit? Question 2. Can users with Copilot Studio User License create an Agent and published to this below Copliot Chat page? When publishing an Agent, can we only make it available to a group of users? My understanding is Agent's response made to any users will deduct from monthly 25,000 cap Question 3. In SharePoint Online, I know users with Microsoft 365 Copliot License will see this Copilot button at top-right corner and use Agents... Is it possible to create Agents and deploy to SharePoint Online sites under Copliot Studio Tenant/User License? If so, will users then see the same Copliot button and interact with Agents? Question 4. I have Microsoft 365 Copliot License and I love how it summarizes after a Teams meeting. If I remove that M365 Copliot License and get the company gets Copilot Studio Tenant License, will I still get a summary?
